Capacity!

capacity ( definition from Oxford languages)

(noun ) the maximum amount that something can contain’.

Our capacity is designed to grow.

We can resist growth for various reasons and we can be unaware that the changes in our life that we long for, can be greatly assisted by increasing our capacity.

When we embrace the stretch, consider it our friend, and look to the vision of the future that increased capacity will give us, we will go forward.

Capacity is like a muscle. When we exercise our muscles and put them under some weight bearing pressure, the muscle actually produces micro tears. It then repairs itself by building more mass to handle greater resistance and weight.

The muscle has increased its capacity to carry and hold greater pressure.

When we allow ourselves to be stretched beyond our comfort zone but within a safe measure, over time, we will increase our capacity to hold and sustain the new challenges and incorporate them into our lifestyle.

Practical disciplines maintained over time, are the things that increase our capacity.

  They are called habits.

Habits enable us to contain and hold the weight of our own life, to be what we need to be and to do what we need to do. To increase our capacity, our daily habits can be evaluated to see if they are taking us forward, or backward. We can choose the habits that will increase our capacity.

When we set up our habits to produce what we value, our lives become aligned and our capacity to hold more of the good, will increase.

Goals in life and habits that fuel and support those goals, will boost my capacity to hold and realise the future that I would like to have.

I can intentionally set myself up to increase my capacity.

Increased capacity produces increased results.

‘If my output exceeds my input, my upkeep will be my downfall’.
